Therapist: Take a deep breath in… and slowly exhale. With each breath, feel your body becoming more and more relaxed. Imagine a wave of calm washing over you, starting at the top of your head and flowing all the way down to your toes. As you continue to breathe deeply, allow your eyes to gently close.

Pause for a moment to allow relaxation to deepen.

Therapist: Now, I want you to focus on your breathing. With each inhale, you are filling your body with relaxation, and with each exhale, you are letting go of any tension or stress. Feel your shoulders drop and your muscles loosen.
Therapist:As you continue to breathe, I will count down from 10 to 1. With each number, you will feel yourself sinking deeper into relaxation. Ten… feeling calm… Nine… deeper and deeper… Eight… letting go… Seven… even more relaxed… Six… halfway there… Five… feeling safe… Four… deeper still… Three… almost there… Two… and One… deeply relaxed.

Introduce the amnesia suggestion gently and positively.

Therapist: Now that you are in this peaceful state, I want you to know that you are safe and in control. I will now suggest that any memories or thoughts from this session that you would prefer to forget will simply fade away, like footprints in the sand washed away by the tide.

    Pause

Therapist: You might find that certain memories, feelings, or thoughts become less clear, like a fog that gently rolls in. When you wake up, you may notice that you don’t remember specific details from our time together. This is perfectly fine and completely natural.

Guide the client back to full awareness.

Therapist: In a moment, I will count from one to five. With each number, you will become more aware of your surroundings and return to full consciousness, feeling relaxed and refreshed. One… becoming more aware… Two… feeling the energy returning to your body… Three… starting to move your fingers and toes… Four… taking a deep breath in… and Five… open your eyes, fully awake and feeling great.

    Post-Hypnosis Phase

Therapist: Welcome back! How do you feel? Remember, it’s okay if there are things you can’t recall from our session. You are in control, and your mind knows what’s best for you.
