    The word ‘tension’ can evoke stress and anxiety , which is counterproductive to the therapy . As therapist we emphasise the use of positive , calming , language . Phrases that suggest relaxation, and comfort are more effective in facilitating the desired therapeutic outcomes .
    Mentioning ‘tension’ might inadvertently remind the client of the stress and discomfort , reinforcing the very issue we aim to alleviate .
    The subconscious mind highly responsive to suggestion .Using only positive ,soothing language ensures that the mind focuses on the therapeutic goals.
    Use phrases that promote relaxation such as , allow your body to relax ,feeling calm at ease .
