While various definitions have been proposed to elucidate the nature of Psychology, some assert that it is the study of behavior and mental processes. Conversely, my conceptualization of Psychology diverges somewhat. I contend that Psychology is fundamentally the “Study of self.” This assertion is rooted in the notion that delving into the intricacies of one’s own psyche necessitates a meticulous examination of individual characteristics. Consequently, such introspection facilitates a nuanced understanding of the behaviors exhibited by others, enabling the elucidation of underlying motivations and cognitive processes.
