Our brain is divided into 2 hemispheres, that contribute to the brain’s cognitive functioning. For example:

    Left Hemisphere
    – Language Skills
    – Analytical Thinking
    – Sequential Processing
    – Mathematical Abilities
    – Logical Reasoning
    – Detailed Focus
    -Conscious Mind

    Right Hemisphere:
    – Spatial Abilities
    – Creativity and Imagination
    – Emotional Processing
    – Holistic Processing
    – Visual and Artistic Skills
    – Pattern Recognition
    -Unconcious Mind

The interesting part is the left hemisphere is considered to be logical and the right hemisphere is considered to be the creative side. But both hemispheres work in coordination to perform various cognitive functions i.e, understanding a language involves left hemisphere to processes the words and grammar while right hemisphere helps us to understand the meaning and emotional tone.
